Valencia College is now hiring a Learning Assistant II – Math Tutor to join the Learning Support Office  team.

In this role, you will be responsible to help students succeed by utilizing a variety of resources such as hands-on manipulatives, various technologies, and group-based study sessions.


In order to meet the needs of Valencia students, the Math Center is comprised of two distinct areas, the Specialized Preparatory Area (SPA) and the Math Support Center (MSC).  The SPA caters to entry level math students up through College Algebra.  The MSC caters to college level math students from College Algebra up through Differential Equations.

  • Ability to assist students with all levels of math skills – test corrections, PERT review assistance and homework
  • Experience working with students in a college environment
  • Tutoring experience

Availability Requirements: Monday – Saturday (Up to 25 hours a week; nights and weekends may be required and schedule is subject to change based on business needs)

Salary: $12.02 per hour
